Vanaf april kan je hem horen en voor velen betekent het het begin van de lente: de koekoek!
Meestal is het zo dat je ze wel hoort maar ze zien gebeurt eerder zelden. Kris Hermans ontdekte een roepend exemplaar bij hem in de buurt, we stelden een schuiltentje op en afwisselend gingen Kris, Pascal en ikzelf postvatten in de hoop dat hij op deze plek vaker zou komen. En jawel, af en toe werd ons wachten beloond met het bezoek van dit koekoek-mannetje.

From April you can hear him calling and for many people it means the beginning of Spring:  the cuckoo! Usually you can hear them but seeing them rarely happens. Kris Hermans found a calling male close to his place, we set up a shelter tent and Kris, Pascal and I alternately stand guard hoping for the bird to return to this spot. And indeed, occasionally we were awarded with the visit of this cuckoo male.
